Mushroom Walks

Celebrate Fall with a walk through a magical forest to meet and greet a wide variety of PNW native, edible, medicinal, beautiful, bizarre mushrooms! Learn mushroom identification skills, ethical foraging practices and safety precautions. A forest immersion, hands on, guided tour and educational class. To minimize our impact on the land, there is no foraging allowed during class.

Cost:

  • $40pp

  • $30pp for members of a BIPOC/LGBTQIA+ community

  • free for folks Indigenous to Turtle Island (see Land Acknowledgement for more info)

Tickets: Purchase in advance via Eventbrite. If events are sold out, email to be added to a waitlist.

What to bring: wear warm clothes and sturdy shoes you can get wet, dirty and muddy.

No young children or dogs to limit distractions and impact on the land.

Mobility limitations: Walks include uneven terrain, occasional narrow steep trails, mud, and rocks/roots to navigate. If you have any mobility limitations, please contact me about a private walk to ensure your safety.

Private classes: Outdoor, indoor and virtual classes available teaching about mushroom identification and foraging. Cost is $40pp or $30 BIPOC/LGBTQIA+ with a $200 minimum. Email or call 206-715-8368 for more info.

About your Teacher

Kaela Koepke is a Nature Guide specializing in PNW plants and mushrooms. She has been studying PNW native, edible, medicinal plants and mushrooms for 10 years. She is also a Nature Therapist and Mental Health Therapist and is passionate about helping people hear nature with their heart and spirit. Come geek out in the forest and discover the magic of nature, there is so much to see!
